Positive vs. Negative Spirit
Do you think people are born with a positive or negative spirit (or something in between), or do you think that it is nurtured? Or, a combination of both?
I know that my spirit has been much more negative since I have not had my computer (ha ha).
Mandala-Tree Rot
Found this fabulous piece of tree rot while on a walk with a friend. Tried to capture the essence of the shapes.
Inspiration
Spent a weekend with women friends…went to a contemporary quilt show (all quilts were by women)…wondering on the need to be with women, as my household is filled with men.
What are your thoughts….?
Mandala Project

We are now halfway through our mandala creativity project. It has been a terrific outlet for me and has (gently) forced me to express myself visually, which is an area in which I am uncomfortable. I restricted myself throughout my life with visual arts—thinking that things had to be realistic, or have discernible meaning. Sometimes, a circle can just be a circle—meaning be damned. Letting my markers and paints flow without thinking have produced mandalas that are most visually appealling to me. Overthinking art ruins it for me.
A. . mused. . . .
. . . by my absence? I thought not. My apologies.
We are now one-third of the way through the mandala creativity project. I am loving this experience. I am allowing the spirit of creativity to flow without overthinking things—which I think is the entire point. Thank you for sharing the idea!! I am away from a scanner, but will include my favorites for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure) when I return.
